Our team of principal and consultant Specialists have significant experience across all collecting categories including having worked with top tier dealers and global auction houses such as Christie’s, Bonhams and Sotheby’s. Donington operates in both Australia and New Zealand with its head office based in Melbourne.
Robbie Richards
Director
Robbie has over twenty years’ experience in the auction industry. He has previously held the position of National Operations Manager for Christie’s Australia, Senior Vice President in the Interiors Department for Christie’s New York, Consultant to Bonhams, Operations Manager and Head of Collectors’ Car Department at Mossgreen & Mossgreen-Webbs.
Robbie has worked on some of Australia and New Zealand’s largest auctions, including the Harold E. Mertz Collection of Australian Art, Binh Thuan Shipwreck Cargo, Owston Collection, Anne Lewis Estate, Margaret Olley Collection and contents of Dysart House. He most recently managed as head of department the highly successful Collectors’ Car auctions of;

Cameron Sabine
Director
Cameron has over fifteen years’ experience in the automotive industry. He has previously held the position of Sales Manager at Brooklands Classic Cars, Executive Officer for the Australian Historic Motor Sport Commission (AHMSC), Executive Officer of the Grand Prix Organising Committee and FIA Steward Secretary for the Australian Grand Prix.
Cameron has a strong marketing background, holding a Bachelor of Commerce in Marketing and an Advanced Diploma in Marketing from Swinburne University.
Paul Sabine
Consultant
Paul commenced dealing in Classic cars in 1980 with the establishment of Tickford sales, followed by Brooklands Motors of Sandringham in the early 1990s which later became Brooklands Classic Cars. Paul specialises in Aston Martin cars, along with other fine British, European and American cars.
Paul has previously held the positions of the first Secretary of the Mercedes Benz Club in Victoria and Aston Martin Owners Club UK, Board of Management as representative for Australia in the 1980s and 1990s. He was Convenor of the Melbourne Classic Car Show and Auction at the Royal Exhibition Buildings between 1985 and 1989 and Auction Director for the Inaugural Australian Grand Prix Auction in 1996 conducted by Shannons.
Paul is a Certified Practicing Valuer with the Auctioneers and Valuers Association of Australia (AVAA).
Tony Parkinson
Consultant
South Australian based ‘Parky’ is the founder of Penny’s Hill winery at McLaren Vale. He has owned many interesting and rare cars,
is an avid student of automotive provenance and values, and has competed in all forms of motorsport, the Mille Miglia a highlight.
A long-time member of the Sporting Car Club, Austin Healey and Bentley clubs, Parky has chaired the Australian Grand Prix Historics committee since 2006,
organised Lobethal Grand Prix re-enactments in 2008-09 and has an extensive overseas network - including a joint venture wine label with Sir Stirling Moss.
