Step 1
Appraisal & Valuation
Donington offers a comprehensive and no-obligation appraisal service for auction. An appraisal will evaluate the condition of an item and generate a current market value if the item were to sell at an auction. This is a free service conducted by our specialists and we welcome appraisals of any kind.Step 2
Consigning Your Property
The Consignment Agreement receipt sets out the terms and conditions upon which Donington will offer your property for sale by either auction or private sale. Our Specialist will suggest a catalogue estimate range and discuss any reserves we recommend for the property. The property will be included in the catalogue as one or more lots. Additional charges, which include insurance, photography, bespoke marketing, along with the commission will be discussed and agreed on between the vendor and Donington.
Step 3
When & Where To Sell
Donington conducts auctions in various categories and a Specialist will discuss with you the most appropriate sale date and location to ensure the strongest bidding for the property. The consigner/vendor is responsible for delivering the consigned propoerty to the auction premises. Donington would be delighted to offer transport and shipping recommendations to ensure your items are delivered safely and in the most cost-effective manner. Donington will inform you of their auction deadlines to ensure photographing, cataloguing and marketing are undertaken in a timely manner.
